Ricardo Cavalcanti is a Full Professor at EPGE Brazilian School of Economics and Finance and editor of the Brazilian Journal of Economics (RBE). He is currently a Visiting Professor at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, USA. Previously, he taught at the University of Miami and the University of Pennsylvania.
During his PhD at the University of Minnesota, Cavalcanti was advised by Edward Prescott, winner of the 2004 Nobel Prize in Economics. He was also a guest speaker at the "Models of Monetary Economies, the Next Generation" conference, organized by the University of Minnesota in partnership with the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis.
