João Victor Issler is a Professor of Economics at FGV EPGE Brazilian School of Economics and Finance. He is one of the most active Brazilian researchers in the areas of Econometrics, Macroeconomics and Finance. He is a Fellow of the IAAE — International Association of Applied Econometrics, researcher 1A of CNPq and FAPERJ’s Cientista do Nosso Estado. He was Co-Editor of the 2006 Journal of Econometrics Special Issue on Common Features and the 2011 Special Issue on Forecasting. He was also a research associate at the Volatility Institute of the Stern School of Business, New York University. He received from ANPEC the Haralambos Simeonidis Award for Doctoral Theses, in 1993, and the same Award, in 2004, in the Articles category. He has also written well-known Brazilian studies on scientific output and citation in economics.
