He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Brasília (1989), a Master's degree in Economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (1993) and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago (1999). He is currently a member of the editorial board of Economic Research and Planning (Rio de Janeiro), a reviewer of Journal of Economic Research and Planning (Rio de Janeiro), Brazilian review of econometrics, Brazilian Journal of Economics, Journal of Applied Economics and Economics Studies (USP) and Researcher of the Getulio Vargas Foundation. Has experience in Economics, with emphasis on Growth, Fluctuations and Economic Planning. Acting mainly on the following topics: fecundity, wealth distribution, growth model, human capital, intergenerational mobility.
