PhD in Engineering, in the field of Decision Support Methods, from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (2001). Teaches courses in statistics, probability, econometrics, and macroeconomics at the Getulio Vargas Foundation (EPGE Brazilian School of Economics and Finance), the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE/IBGE), and UERJ. Has research interests in time series, sampling techniques, macroeconomics, and financial econometrics. Has published recent papers in national and international journals in the areas of applied macroeconomics and econometrics.
