The Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV) inaugurated, on December 20, the Ernane Galvêas Building, which will house the Brazilian Institute of Economics (FGV IBRE) and the Center for the Development of Public Management and Educational Policies (FGV DGPE). The launch event for the new unit was marked by tributes to Minister Ernane Galvêas.
The president of FGV, professor Carlos Ivan Simonsen Leal, the directors of FGV IBRE, Luiz Schymura, and of FGV EPGE, Rubens Penha Cysne, paid homage to the Minister, who throughout his life built a legacy of contribution to the socioeconomic development of the Brazil.
The event was also dedicated to the awarding of the Minister Ernane Galvêas Award, whose proposal is to recognize and encourage the production of academic works of excellence produced by the student body of FGV EPGE.
