Former student of FGV EPGE is appointed Minister of Finance

The former student of the EPGE Masters in Economics (class of 1986) Joaquim Levy was appointed in November 27, 2014, the new Brazilian Finance Minister. Levy concluded his MSc. Program with the thesis: "Congelamento parcial, aumento de salários e efeitos na demanda de mão de obra", oriented by Professor Sérgio Werlang, in 1987. The new Minister of Finance was also a Professor at the Institution in 1990.
