EPGE promotes special lunch in celebration of its fiftieth anniversary

On December 16th, Getulio Vargas Foundation Graduate School of Economics promoted the first of a series of events to celebrate their golden jubilee. The host and director of the School, Professor Rubens Penha Cysne, welcomed distinguished guests, among them the Advisory Board and the Board of Trustees, as well as Directors of other units of Getulio Vargas Foundation, speakers of the event Financial Economics in Rio, businessmen, politicians, academics and alumni who contributed to the development of the institution. After lunch, Rubens Penha Cysne and the President of GV Foundation, Mr. Carlos Ivan Simonsen Leal, gave a presentation about the history of the school and its importance in the national context, emphasizing the social and political role since its foundation. The year 2011 will be marked by the participation of our School in promoting important seminars, both national and international, enabling the economic debate and sustaining our social role."
