English As part of the celebrations of its 50th Anniversary, the Getulio Vargas Foundation Graduate School of Economics (FGV EPGE), under the direction of Professor Rubens Penha Cysne, promoted on March 17th and 18th the workshop “China and The World Economy”. The event received financial support from Vale. Its scientific committee was composed by Roberto Castelo Branco, Director of Investor Relations of Vale, and Victor Issler, EPGE Professor.
The opening panel was composed by the President of FGV, Carlos Ivan Simonsen Leal, the Chinese Consul General, Mrs. Chen Xiaoling and Roberto Castello Branco. Over 250 participants filled the auditorium M.F. Thompson Motta for the opening of the Conference.
